Camporee!

Our scouts just went on the biggest camping trip of the year. Camporee is a skill training camp taken place at Camp Pigott to prepare scouts for any emergency situation that could come upon them. This year's Camporee theme was an earthquake.

Our scouts started the day at 5:30 A.M. to make breakfast and lunch before heading off to our stations. For the next eight hours we trekked through mud, rain, and sun, completing action and knowledge stations.

After we completed four stations, we sat down for lunch then completed another four. It was very tiring work, but our scouts felt very proud and accomplished of themselves.

Once we were finished with all the stations, we got some time to relax and chill for the rest of the day. After a while we headed to campfire for reverence and went back up to the campsite for our final night.

Once it turned morning, our scouts packed up our things before heading to flags. By the time we finally left, it felt surreal. We were all wet and tired, but the weekend had been so much fun, we grew so much closer together as a troop and everyone had somehow became a better person.
