Pre-Camporee!

Last weekend, our scouts went to Hans Jenson Park to practice for when we go to Camp Pigott for Camporee, which is a skill training camp for scouts. At the site, scouts pitched tents and prepped for the trip.

On Saturday, scouts started by eating breakfast cooked by them, to fuel them for the day ahead. After breakfast, scouts went through stations taught by our older scouts. These stations included first aid, fire building, axe and knife safety, plus more useful skills.

After lunch, we continued more stations until we were ready to start making dinner, which had a mystery food we had to incorporate then serve to the judges.

After dinner cleanup, our scouts had patrol time, in which we were supposed to prep skits for campfire. Our campfire skits were lovely. All of our patrols planned, directed, and performed their own skit for all the rest of us to laugh at.

Finally, after a long day, our scouts went to bed feeling proud of our hard work. On Sunday we all left camp feeling ready for Camporee
